Youth Basketball
Rosters for this year’s 7- and 8-year-old youth basketball have been finalized and teams have begun to practice. Games do not begin until Nov. 12; schedules are available online through the recreation department link at www.townofpagosasprings.com. Parents who have not yet heard from a head coach should call the office to obtain roster information and practice schedules. Please note that registration for the 9-10 and 11-12 divisions will begin in mid-November; the season for these divisions will not begin until early January. For more information call 264-4151 Ext. 231 or 232.

Volleyball
Due to a lack of adequate gym space, this year’s youth volleyball season for ages 9-12 has been postponed until next spring.
The tentative plan is to have registration begin in February and the season to begin sometime in late March or early April (immediately after the youth basketball season for ages 9-12).
For more information, please contact the recreation office at 264-4151 Ext. 232.

The theme for entries in the essay contest (grades 5-8) is also “Pick-up Pagosa Country.” Entries should explain why local litter prevention and/or recycling efforts are important and should follow these guidelines:

•    Entries are limited to a maximum of 250 words
•    Include student’s name, grade and phone number with entry
