Pagosa Springs had a difficult spring with dry conditions and the West Fork Complex forest fires. About mid-July the Southwest monsoon season began. It has been raining everyday somewhere in the area from that time. It seems we are “making up” for drought at other times! All plants are thriving on the moisture from delicate potted flowers to natural grasses and wildflowers. It is a wonderful time to be in Pagosa Springs.
