What species of trout are caught in Lake Williams and how many per angler on average?
Also how far is the lake from the town of Pagosa Springs?
    thank you

Williams is located about 30 miles North of Pagosa Springs. With gravel roads, it takes around 40 minutes to get there. Rainbow and brown trout are in the lake, but I don’t know how many per angler on average. That information may be available from the Department of Wildlife.

Williams Creek below the dam is a great fly fishing spot.

Not a fisherman, so your best bet is to talk to the local fisherman here in the Outfitter stores and ask. It depends on the season and type of fishing you do.

Yes there is a Williams Lake Campground. You would need to contact the Forest Service for current pricing.
