Soaking in the winter can be a refreshing, exhilarating experience. Whether it is snowing lightly or first thing in the morning as the steam is rising… you should try it!

What is the best place for Hot Springs if you are not staying at the resort? They look pretty pricey. Are any of the facilities state run or all privately owned? We are traveling with our kids on March 4th for a week. Thanks!

There are three privately owned Hot Springs facilities in Pagosa. The Springs Resort has the most pools and is along the river. The Overlook has a few pools and is downtown. It is not as kid-friendly however. The Healing Waters Hot Spring has a larger hot springs pool (http://www.pshotsprings.com/).
