Archuleta County Victim Assistance
ACVAP provides 24-hour service to all crime victims, particularly Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault survivors. ACVAP works to end violence by crisis intervention, educational programs and community involvement.
Volunteer opportunities for crisis advocates and other support personnel are available.

FolkWest
FolkWest produces the Four Corners Folk Festival and the Independent Music Festival (Indiefest) annually in Pagosa Springs. Both outdoor events are held on Reservoir Hill and feature live musical performances, on-site camping, vending, free kids’ activities and more. Gray Wolf Ski Club
The Gray Wolf Ski Club has more than 600 members on both sides
of Wolf Creek Pass who are interested in outdoor activities like
skiing (downhill and x-country), hiking, golf and fellowship.
To join if you are 50 or older, send a check for $15 (couple)
or $10 (single) with your contact info, including telephone and
e-mail. Dues include subscription to monthly newsletter. Club
activities and trips are available to members only.

Habitat for Humanity
We
build 1-2 houses in Pagosa Springs each year. These houses are constructed almost entirely with volunteer labor. Our efforts in Pagosa Springs over the past 15 years have provided quality housing for over 50 children. To volunteer services or to apply for a home, call 264-6647.

Humane
Society of Pagosa Springs
A private, nonprofit organization serving Archuleta County.
Our mission is to provide a safe haven for animals in need, to
promote adoptions, to reunite lost animals with their owners and
to humanely reduce pet overpopulation through community education
and aggressive spay/neuter programs. The Humane Society operates
the Animal Shelter currently located on Stevens Lake in West Pagosa
Springs and the Humane Society Thrift Store in downtown Pagosa.

home in Archuleta County. MKP’s mission is to empower men

Pagosa Springs Fiber Fest invites you to our 6th Annual Fiber Fest, May 27 and 28, 2006. Come see live fiber animals ( alpacas, llamas, angora and cashmere goats, churro sheep, etc. Visit vendors of fleece/fiber, finished fashions and equipment (looms etc.) Participate in our Navajo Rug Auction. Enter our Yarn and Fiber Arts Competitions. Learn from demonstrations, presentations and classes (small fee ). We offer classes in Beginning Spinning, Intermediate Plus Spinning, Design/Color/Knitting, Hat Felting, Needle Felting, Natural Extract Dyes, Weaving a Cinch, Weaving a Boa Scarf, Navajo Weaving, Colcha Embroidery and more.

Women's Civic Club of Pagosa
Springs
Started in 1910 to take over the operation of the existing library
of 202 books, today the Civic Club supports the library in any
way needed. The Civic Club meets monthly on the third Thursday
at 1:30 at the Methodist church on Lewis Street. Everyone is welcome.
