This is a very unusual year, so far, with near record moisture. The water has swollen streams and rivers and provided ample growing medium for wildflowers and planted flowers alike. It is a lush year and if you ever want to see Pagosa Country at its best, this is it! Locals should take the time and enjoy and readers at a distance should begin planning a visit now.
At the editor’s home growth is wildly productive. This is normally a ground cover about six inches high. This year it is becoming a birdbath cover. We had a dandelion stalk over two feet tall.

Down at the Community Garden in Centennial Park plants are alive with color from flowers as Tibetan Prayer Flags fluttering in the breeze.
The Springs Resort is always a beautiful environment with a wild assortment of flowers growing along all walkways and in beds set aside for plantings.
