Fishing Brings Big Money
To Colorado & Pagosa!
|
Boy, they like big ones! One fellow, a couple years ago, hooked one like this and spent an hour or so parading up and down the river banks and around The Springs Resort inviting anyone and everyone to take his picture...Please! |
Thad Cano, sportsman and employee at the Ski and Bow Rack, did some interesting research on the economic benefits of fishing. Fishing people are not like skiers who are easy to identify, we only see fisherpersons one or two at a time and they are not easily identifiable if not dressed in their cute uniforms and wicker baskets. But, they are here in good numbers and spend money benefiting the economy. How much money is stunning!
Thad discovered the numbers from state information. Listed below is the number of licenses purchased in Pagosa Springs last year.
