2009 Calendar Art Exhibit Now On Display
The reception for the 2009 Calendar Art Exhibit was held Thursday, April 24, with an excellent attendance by Pagosa art lovers. Many of the contributing artists were present to greet attendees and discuss their work. We would also like to thank Stephany Bouchier and Angela’s Flowers for gracing the evening with soft music and flowers. The show will run until May 6.
An Interview with Tayler McKee
Tayler McKee is the youngest of the contributing artists for the 2009 Pagosa Country Calendar. Her photo of a four-year old cousin, complete with helmet and prize winning belt buckle, will take center place on the August page of the calendar. When asked how she happened to submit a photo to the PSAC calendar project this year, she said, “I Googled the internet looking for photo contests in Colorado and then Pagosa Springs and the PSAC website came up with a description of the calendar theme so I thought I’d send in a photo.”
Tayler is 15 years of age, a freshman at Pagosa Springs High School, and lives on Rafter T Ranch near Chimney Rock. She has been a photographer for approximately three years and has won 1st and 2nd place awards in 2005 at the Archuleta County Fair in the categories of architecture and animals. She has been published in “Endless Journeys” and “World’s Cutest Pets” so far in 2008. Tayler is active in 4-H and volunteers for Hospice and the Humane Society. Thank you, Tayler, for “Googling” PSAC!
