Soledad Estrada-Leo is a woman strongly linked to her past while moving forward into the future. She now signs her work "Soledad", but she formerly used "M/SED" which are the initials of her full birth name. Born in Guanajuato, Mexico she is now settled in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Her degree as a print maker from the University of
Guanajuato gave her the expertise in techniques
of etching, lithography and wood cuts, as well as
education in art history, color and graphic design.
She is book illustrator and an art teacher, and has
a successful program for children and adults in her
art studio.

Soledad's range of work extends to people portraits,
horse portraits and landscapes. Her artwork reveals
an intellect in tune with her self, her legacy and her
surroundings, truly an artist of people and horses.
Subjects of her drawings are silent observers
knowing things we do not.They are alive with
watchful, soulful eyes; and spirits dancing,
galloping, whispering in communion of
their goal to be free!
