A very special viewing opportunity will take place tonight at just after 9:00 PM. The NASA Shuttle has been visiting the International Space Station for the last two weeks. Yesterday they seperated for the shuttle's return to earth. Another satellite, the ATV, is also in orbit and about to visit the station. According to the present schedule all three should pass over Pagosa Country tonight. The ATV is smaller and will first come into view at 9:03 followed by the station at 9:07 followed by the shuttle at 9:08 in the west / southwest sky and orbit overhead for two minutes.
The AVT is unpopulated. The shuttle has seven people and the station three. Wave!
